Pek Kio Market & Food Centre offers free lunch sets & priority queues for nurses

Following the news of discrimination that nurses in Singapore face amidst the coronavirus outbreak, the Moulmein-Cairnhill Constituency Office has started an initiative to show appreciation for healthcare workers.

From Feb. 14, nurses in uniform will get priority queues to buy meals from 33 participating stalls at Pek Kio Market & Food Centre.

Pek Kio Merchant’s Association has also sponsored lunch sets that will be free to all nurses until March 21.

From now until March 31, nurses will also be eligible for the local Five Loaves programme, where one can redeem a loaf of bread each week from two bakeries located near the food centre:

Apart from meals, two hair salons at Pek Kio Neighbourhood Town are also offering discounted haircuts at S$9 instead of S$14.
