Not many of us may have heard of Goldleaf Restaurant who serve nostalgic Taiwanese Porridge. Even if we heard about them, we may not know that they started in 1971. This year, 2019, the iconic brand celebrates its 48th Anniversary.
Goldleaf Restaurant started whipping the wide variety of timeless Taiwanese dishes at its first outlet in Orchard. They are in the radar when they were at Amoy Street. Now, they have re-homed to 86 East Coast Road, serving the same delicious dishes.

Beside unveiling new dishes to celebrate its 48th Anniversary, Goldleaf Restaurant launched a promotion that offers diners a selection of classic dishes at$5.40 each. Diners can order three out of six dishes.
Golden Fried Mushrooms with Salted Egg
First out of the six, Golden Fried Mushrooms with Salted Egg, is my personal favourite. Since I love salted egg, it is little wonder why I would recommend this. Generous amount of aromatic salted egg coated the batter of the mushroom. Since it is lightly salted, I could eat it naked without rice or porridge.
