We recently reported about a snack shop nestled in Yishun that sells retro snacks at insanely cheap prices.
But if you’re an eastie and found it hard to convince yourself to take a trip up north, here’s an alternative that you can consider.
Teck Leong Lee Kee, a shop located in Bedok North, apparently sells old school snacks that will instantly get you sentimental over your childhood.
Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect at the store.
Atas chocolates may come up tops in terms of their depth of flavour. But when it comes to evoking nostalgia, nothing comes remotely close to Apollo’s chocolate stick wafers.
At Teck Leong Lee Kee, a pack comprising of 30 Apollo wafer packets will cost you just $2.70, or $0.09 per pack.
Another childhood favourite for many of us would be Hiro Choc Cake, with its distinct, rich chocolate exterior and fluffy, buttery interior.
This Bedok snack shop also has a wide assortment of old-school sweets.
Brown sugar may be the all the hype in 2k19, but back in the 1990’s, these barley and chocolate mint sweets were all we had.
If you prefer your sweets in a box, perhaps Milton’s pastilles candy will be more suited for you.
With so many retro snacks on offer, this is a must-visit for those who love all things old-school.
If you’re already planning a trip down, here are more information on where to go.
